What is the Cascadia Chapter?
Cascadia Chapter of Credit Unions is a community of credit unions that work together to promote the credit union movement and provide mutual support. Our chapter organizes educational events, advocacy campaigns, networking opportunities, and community service projects for our members in the Portland Metro area. Cascadia also represents the interests of our members at the state level, and foster collaboration and innovation among credit unions.
The credit union philosophy is all about people helping people. Credit unions are member-owned, not-for-profit, and democratic financial cooperatives that put the well-being of their members and communities first. They offer better rates, lower fees, and personalized services to their members. They also promote education, cooperation, and social responsibility among their members and beyond. Credit unions are a great alternative to banks because they are driven by service, not profit.
