Cascadia Chapter Happy Hour
Join us for a fun and festive happy hour event hosted by the Cascadia Chapter of Credit Unions on March 19, 2024 at Hopworks Brewery at 2944 SE Powell. This is a free event open to all credit union members and staff, as well as anyone interested in learning more about the credit union movement.
We are excited to celebrate Women's History Month by partnering with local women owned businesses that share our values of community, sustainability, and empowerment. You will have the opportunity to network with other credit union professionals and supporters, enjoy delicious food and drinks, and hear from inspiring women entrepreneurs who are making a difference in our region.

Volunteer Event: Oregon Food Bank
We are excited to share that we are organizing a volunteer event for the Oregon Food Bank on February 1st, 2024. This is a great opportunity to give back to our community and help those in need.
The Oregon Food Bank works to eliminate hunger and its root causes in Oregon and Southwest Washington. They distribute food to a network of 1,400 partner agencies and programs, and they also advocate for policies that address the systemic issues that lead to food insecurity.
We'll be helping out at their warehouse in Portland, sorting and packing food donations for distribution. The shift is from 9 am to 11 pm.

Bob Burns Memorial Turkey Shoot
Are you ready for some fun, food, and fellowship? Do you want to support a great cause and win a turkey for Thanksgiving? Then don’t miss the Bob Burns Memorial Turkey Shoot, the credit union event of the year!
The Bob Burns Memorial Turkey Shoot is a tradition that dates back to 1952, when a group of University of Portland alumni founded the Blanchet House, a nonprofit social services organization that provides food, clothing, and residential programs to people in need. The Turkey Shoot is a way to honor the legacy of Bob Burns, one of the founders of Blanchet House and a credit union pioneer.
The event is hosted by the Cascadia Chapter of Credit Unions, and it features a great lineup of trusted partners, a 50/50 raffle where we’ll split the pot with the winner, and the popular Turkey Shoot game where you can win a turkey by hitting a target with a dart. All proceeds from the event benefit the Blanchet House and its mission to offer food, shelter, and aid to all those in need of a safe place to be nourished and restored.
The event will take place on Thursday, November 16th, 2023 at 6:00 PM at the Monarch Hotel & Conference Center in Clackamas, Oregon. Tickets are $35 per person and include dinner and one entry to the Turkey Shoot game. You can also buy additional entries for $5 each. Space is limited, so make sure to get your tickets early before they run out.
